Personal Styling with Rebecca Schipper
Rebecca came to me to help style her for a weekend conference she was attending in San Francisco for her job as an associate director with the fashion and skin care company Stella & Dot. She wanted fashion forward looks that were comfortable to survive a long day of training, plus a fun outfit for the company’s boss lady dance party. For her first look we paired this bright tunic length sweater with comfy leggings and red and pink adidas sneakers. The result was a fun and comfy travel look that did anything but blend into the background. Next, I paired these amazing teal trousers from Scotch and Soda that I found at Hey Day, a locally owned boutique in Fort Collins and Denver, CO. At first, Rebecca was a bit hesitant, but after putting them on, realizing how comfy they were, and how many tops we were actually able to pair them with, they became a must-have.
For the conference, I ended up pairing them with a red and navy leopard print blouse, also from Hey Day, for a fun color mash-up and white booties she already owned. Since this conference, Rebecca has worn these pants so many times. I love that they have become a closet staple for her. For her Boss Lady dance party, we had to do some serious searching, and I found this amazing rainbow sequins shift. The dress was a standout all by itself, and because Rebecca loves to dance, I paired it with the red and pink Adidas again, and this hilarious Boss hat she already owned. For her last day of conference and travel look, these leopard print joggers were perfect. Paired with her trusty pink and red Adidas, a white button-down, and a jean jacket, her look was both comfy and stylish. Rebecca’s style session was so much fun and her trip was a perfect excuse to dress outside the box.
