The Gateway Natural Area was the perfect backdrop for this family photo shoot that all began with my rainbow skirt. I loved how this skirt gave me the ability to incorporate so much color. I topped my skirt off with a navy and white polka dot sweater. It was a perfect way to mix two prints and incorporate a playful feel that carried throughout the whole shoot. I put Joe in his favorite dark blue jeans, a green polo the same shade as the green in my skirt and Hank’s pants, and his trusty cowboy boots.

By having Joe as the only one in a green top it ensured the kids wouldn’t be floating heads when snuggled up next to him for a picture. I wanted Claire to standout in this mustard dress, and boy did she ever. The mustard and tiny speckles of red in her dress perfectly matched the mustard and red in my skirt and stood out next to the boys in shades of blue and green. Claire’s blue hair tie, Hank’s blue shoes, my green headband, and my rainbow nails were the finishing touches for this colorful and fun shoot.
